The bank has warned that some customers may see an outdated balance, and payments made or received may not show following the initial outage on online and mobile banking. It comes after some Barclays customers were locked out of their accounts over the weekend following a major IT glitch.
Kent branches of Lloyds and Halifax among 136 to close across UK as customers shift towards online banking
Four Kent banks are among more than 100 branches due to be closed by next march by the banking giant behind Lloyds, Halifax and the Bank of Scotland. Lloyds branches in Margate and Herne Bay will both close in May this year while branches of Halifax in Folkestone and Sittingbourne will close in October.

Lloyds Banking Group has announced the closure of 136 high street branches of Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland in a further blow to customers. The financial giant will shut down 61 Lloyds, 61 Halifax and 14 Bank of Scotland branches between May this year and March 2026.
