With the clock ticking down a on a friendly administration in Washington, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul lifted her pause of the controversial congestion pricing program, bringing it back with a lower $9 fee to enter Manhattan below 60th Street.

Gov. Hochul will propose a modified version of congestion pricing Thursday, according to at least four sources briefed on her plans. Hochul is expected to propose a 40% cut in the tolls already approved by the MTA,

The fire, in Inwood Hill Park at the northern tip of Manhattan, followed brush fires that burned in Brooklyn, the Bronx and New Jersey over the past week.
