Delhi is set to get a new Chief Minister as senior AAP leader and current cabinet minister, Atishi, is expected to take oath today. This leadership change follows the prohibition from holding any office for Arvind Kejriwal by the Supreme Court in connection with the the alleged Delhi liquor scam,

Along with her, five other ministers of AAP were sworn in and will be part of Delhi’s cabinet. These include Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat

The new Council of Ministers announced by AAP comprises Sultanpur Majra MLA Mukesh Ahlawat, a new entrant, besides ministers Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Imran Hussain.

As CM, Kejriwal did not have any portfolio assigned to him. However, AAP leaders said this was unlikely to be the case with Atishi.

The officials at the lieutenant governor's office on Friday evening said President Droupadi Murmu has appointed Atishi as the chief minister of Delhi from the date of her being sworn in and has also accepted Arvind Kejriwal's resignation.
