Tappan Street — ridden by Luis Saez and trained by Brad Cox — captured the 74th running of the Florida Derby on Saturday evening to book his place in the Kentucky Derby.

Prior to the race, Sovereignty was Into Mischief's second-leading progeny in earnings with $429,520; Tappan Street was first. The payout for the Derby winner this year was $3.1 million.
