The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel, and expressed hope that this development will mark a step toward de-escalation,

US President Donald Trump declared a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Iran, after the latter targeted the US airbase in Qatar overnight.  However, Iran's foreign minister said there was no agreement on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates condemned Iran’s missile attack on Monday evening against the Al Udeid US military base in Qatar. Riyadh called the strikes an “aggression” against Doha and were “unacceptable and cannot be justified”.
