Wait. The value of the RTX 4090 will decline when the 50xx series is announced. Even if a RTX 5070 is 15-20% under the performance of a 4090 (like the OG 4070 was to the 3090), Nvidia will gate keep all the newest features from the 4090 to narrow the gap between them. The RTX 4090 will be worth whatever the 5070 costs.

The primary problem with buying an RTX 4090 for 1440p gaming is the fact modern xx80 and xx90 cars have more performance value at higher resolutions (2160p and higher). The xx70 class cards tend to best suit 1440p gaming. Of course, that's not saying the 4090 would be bad, it just would be even more of a poor value than it already is for 2160p.

Aug 22, 2023 · For those wondering, I purchased 64G DDR5 and switched out my existing 32G. The R15 only has two memory slots. The RAM speed increased from 4.8GHz to 5.6GHz. Unfortunately, with more RAM even at higher speed, the speed is about the same 1 - 1.5t/s. Hope this helps someone considering upgrading RAM to get higher inference speed on a single 4090.

Sep 27, 2022 · Personally, I think the 4090 would be a great choice, b/c it's cheap, has a ****load of VRAM, a new architecture, and will be the fastest chip on the market. Even if your system doesn't take full advantage of it, that's ok bc you won't have to change it out for quite a while.

Ti Super is better than the $1500 3090 The next gen equivalent let say cost $1000 in a year and better than 4090. Buying both cost about same as a 4090 does now and you pay it over longer time span and you get new up to date features too that 4090 doesnt, like dp2 for example. Buy 4090 if you just want the best now.
