LMS 5596 Bahamas locomotive was built as a standard Jubilee Class, number 5596, in 1934 by the North British Locomotive Company for the London Midland & Scottish Railway. In 1961, under the ownership of British Railways, Bahamas (45596) was the recipient of several experimental modifications aimed at improving the steam engine. In 1966, Bahamas was withdrawn from traffic. It is seen here on a visit to Peak Rail last year, in its BR livery. | Adrian Watson
