Treatment of Keloids Keloids are composed of over-exuberant scar tissue that forms in genetically susceptible individuals as a result of trauma or intense inflammation. Not only are they disfiguring, but they are also often painful. In this gentleman, we were able to successfully treat his groin keloids with a combination of 5-FU/Kenalog injections and our proprietary bleaching regimen to reduce the brown color.
