A few years ago on Christmas Eve, we were facing a different lake effect snow emergency of deadly blizzard conditions in Buffalo with 80 mph winds, a seiche, and two feet of snow, with bitter cold temperatures. This was about a month after a big LES producer with less wind in 2022, and less frigid cold, but huge snowfall totals.
