Neuralink just released a new video on their R1 surgical robot:• Inserts 128 ultra-thin, flexible threads (each thinner than a human hair, ~1/10th the width) containing a total of 1,024 electrodes directly into living brain tissue• Thread insertion now takes just 1.5 seconds per thread (major improvement from ~17 seconds previously)• Real-time high-resolution vision system maps and actively avoids every surface blood vessel to eliminate bleeding risk during insertion• Enables deeper thread place
